Standing together, why is it important?

Students are in a situation of psychological distress, anxiety, incertitude and even depression: here is a space to ease it

Because We're Social Beings

We used to talk to our friends, our family, to strangers about how we feel and perceive life. We used to let off steam through sport, in our activities, by partying, or travelling. We used to ease the pain, the stress, the fears, the anxiety in ways we're not allowed to use anymore. We, students, are making a lot of sacrifices: but let's not sacrifice our mental health.

Because We Deserve It

We're facing so many challenges, at a young age. We're seeing some of our dreams being destroyed, a lot of projects ruined, and our motivation sometimes falling apart. We're being brave, understanding, resilient, adaptive, combative. We transform ourselves and our expectations as the system and society around us. However, we're all just humans, and we deserve to remind it: we cry, laugh, we're angry and disappointed. Let's say it.

Because we need it

We tend to forget how important the smallest things in life are under the weight of work, assignments, exams, appointments, interviews, meetings. We tend to forget to ask ourselves "how am I feeling today?" in the name of efficiency, lack of time, denial. Our emotions are valuable, and our state of mind is interesting. Sharing them may offer a mirror to a reader, and the thought that after all, we're not all alone.

So How Does It Work?

We all have millions of thought in a day. We often keep them to ourselves. Here, we propose to share them.

Option 1: SHARE SOME LIFE PILLS

Let your thoughts and your experience steam off

Share a Story Anonymously

A thought, a frustration, a fear, a state of mind, an emotion, an elaborated analysis or a few lines of yourself. It can be your daily diary, as a punctual discharge. It feels good to write, to finally focus on our self. Plus, if you fear judgment, everything is anonymous.

Your Story is Set, and Released

Received in a totally anonymous way, your story will be processed and set up as a "pill" in "The Soul Haven" space. This testimony enriches our collective experience of the pandemic as students, but may also enrich you very personally. Your words will appear and be read by students who may identify with it, and who may feel encouraged to themselves speak up, and free up.

Read Others' Stories, and Take Care

Do not forget to give yourself some time, and read others' stories as well. It's shared, it's here, and it may enlighten you, give you advice, reassure you, or make you feel less alone. This space is for you, to remind you that your inner self matters. Take care of you.

Option 2: SHARE A LONG READ

A non-anonymous and elaborated article about a life issue

Share a Story Under Your Name

A Long-Read is a Life Pill that has been deepened, analyzed, structured, or simply a particularly long story you feel like sharing with us.

Your Story is Set, and Released

Received through the same form as the story pill, your long-read is sent under your name. It will be processed and set up as an article in "The Soul Haven" space. This long work particularly enrich our collective experience of the pandemic, as it may help deepen and analyze issues we face. Your words will appear exactly as they appear in articles, and you will be the author.

Read Others' Long-Read, and Take Care

Do not forget to give yourself some time, and read others' Life Pills and Long Reads as well. It's shared, it's here, and it may enlighten you, give you advice, reassure you, or make you feel less alone. This space is for you, to remind you that your inner self matters. Take care of you.
